The wind of changes on SiteTalk! New features added to the network: SiteTalk groups, SiteTalk chat, the SiteTalk status(active or inactive).

In this article i will try to explain you how to create a group, administrate the group, make more administrators, invite friends to group or simply how to join other SiteTalk groups.

1. How to create a group on SiteTalk?

Go to the left menu of the page and click “My Groups” . A list with all the groups you have joined will be displayed. On top of the list there is a blue link “Create Group”. Click on it. You must enter the group name, website( if the discussions are associated to group theme) and a description of it. Use the bottom button at the end of the form to create it.
Your newly created group will be added to the joined group if any

2. How to administrate the group?

Go to your group list, look for your personal group. Once opened you will notice that the homepage menu will be replaced with the group one(group picture, description, info, members, wall, the group links).

Upload a picture like you did for your profile, edit the info using the button located under group profile picture.

As an admin of the group you will be able to delete other users posts that are against common sense, edit info, add other administrators etc..

3. How to add another admin to the group?

Look for the “Manage members” link, click on it and a pop-up will apper, search for the desired member for the job(enter just one word in the search box because if you enter more than one the javascript will not work), and click the add button.

3. How to invite friends to the group?

Click “Invite Friends” blue link. Type the friend username(just one word) and select him from the list. Than simply click once the “Send Invitation” button. A notification will be diplayed on the screen when the invitation is sent.

4. How to join other groups?

Just visit them and click the “Join Group” link on the left menu. The sistem will ask you if you want to do this step, just click ok. Now you will be able to post messages on that group wall!

The language barrier was knockdown a few days ago!

I was very suprised to see that i can understand all the messages posted on my wall! YES ! There is a cool feature that allows you to quick translate the text from other languages to your own user language! “This is awesome!!!” was the message in more than half of posts around the SiteTalk network!

This is how you do it:

1.Thirst enter your Settings & Functions section >> Edit settings and choose the default language of your account and save the changes!

2. Go to your wall posts , look for messages in other languages and click this button  on the bottom-right of the message!

3. The translation is not very, very accurate but i’m sure 99% of people will understand what it’s the post about!
